Oklahoma City, the state’s capital, is the third largest city in the nation. The city is the Horse Show Capital of the World and receives more than 7.5 million visitors every year. Tourists visiting Oklahoma from other states and countries sometimes need to return home via medical transport (Jet ICU) for treatment or rehabilitation after a critical injury, accident, or illness.

The state also has a growing senior population as its oldest Baby Boomers approach their seventies. About 16% of the state’s citizens are age 60 or older. Senior patients frequently require a medical flight or (Jet ICU) to reach the right level of care close to their family support systems. Angel MedFlight’s award winning air ambulance staff is experienced in providing medical transports and care to all critical care patients, including our senior patients.

At Angel MedFlight, every member of our team understands that when it comes to getting patients to the care they need, every moment counts. That’s why our flight coordinators, and dispatchers are here around the clock – so our patients can reach the care they need most when they need it. We work exclusively with a preferred part 135 operator, to fly medically configured Learjet that support hygiene, comfort, and of course, safety. Our preferred part 135 operator provides a flight captain and assisting pilot on each healthcare mission, while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) focus on our patient.

What makes Angel MedFlight so different?

At Angel MedFlight, our team members strive to have the industry’s highest medical flight team training and certification standards. On every flight, one of our paramedics (EMP-T) and one of our certified nurses (RN) provide skilled care and emotional support.

All of our clinicians receive routine comprehensive training and exams on important critical care and air medical procedures. The majority of our clinicians have more than a decade of critical care experience and most have earned additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP. They also have a high-level understanding of the industry and partnering with Angel Flight and other air medical organizations to ensure every patient reaches the care they need.

Every Angel MedFlight clinician is required to maintain board certification in the flight specialty, (FP-C and CFRN) so they can provide care to our patients in a controlled environment.

Our air ambulance flight nurses and flight paramedics frequently transport critical patients to and from Oklahoma for transplant, specialty care, treatment, and rehabilitation. If you, a loved one, or patient is having a medical emergency in the Oklahoma area or needs a medical flight to reach a healthcare provider there, our medical flight teams provide the best care available in the air.
