More than 10 million travelers visit Montana annually. Unfortunately, visitors from other states and from abroad aren’t always able to return home on a commercial airline and require a medical transport via air ambulance (Jet ICU) for transplant, specialty care, or rehabilitation after a critical illness or injury.

By 2030, senior citizens will make up a quarter of Montana’s state population. The senior population is rapidly growing with the oldest of the Baby Boomer generation reaching their early seventies. Unfortunately, senior patients frequently require a medical flight (or Jet ICU) to reach the right level of care covered by their insurance nearby family members after an injury or accident while traveling out of state or abroad. Angel MedFlight’s award-winning air ambulance team members are experts in supporting air medical transports and in providing care to all critical care patients, including seniors.

At Angel MedFlight, our team members understand that we are meeting our patients and their loved ones on some of the most difficult days of their lives. We know that when it comes to reaching the care you need when you need it, every moment counts.

That’s why our Flight Coordination and Dispatch teams are always here for you 24/7 – so your patient can reach the next level of care, sooner. Angel MedFlight partners with our preferred part 135 operator, to fly our patients on medically configured Learjet that support hygiene, comfort, and safety with smoother and faster flights. On each healthcare mission, a flight captain and supporting pilot safely transport patients while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) provide support and award-winning care throughout the medical flight.

Why is Angel MedFlight different from other air medical transport service providers?

At Angel MedFlight, we think that when it comes to getting your patient to the next level of care, they should also have the best available treatment and medical transport. Every one of our air medical team members undergoes regular trainings and exams on the latest air medical procedures and patient care. The majority of our air ambulance clinicians have more than a decade of critical care experience and have achieved additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP. They are also educated on the air medical industry at large and how to work with Angel Flight and other healthcare and aviation organizations, so that every patient can reach the right level of care on their healthcare journey.

Each Angel MedFlight medical flight team member maintains board certification in the flight specialty, (FP-C and CFRN) to provide the best available care to our patients in a controlled environment.

Our air ambulance team members regularly treat critical care patients on air medical transports to and from Montana for treatment, transplant, specialty care, rehabilitation, and hospice home hospice when needed.
