Iowa is becoming an active tourist destination, with a tourist industry that’s reached $8 Billion in revenue. Visitors from the United States and other countries are sometimes unable to return home via commercial airline and require a medical transport via air ambulance (Jet ICU) for rehabilitation, treatment, or transplant after a critical injury or illness.

Iowa is home to almost 500,000 senior citizens over the age of 65. The senior population is continually on the rise as the oldest of the Baby Boomer generation are approaching and reaching their early seventies. Unfortunately, seniors often require a medical transport (or Jet ICU) to reach the right care covered by their insurance and located in close proximity of family members. Angel MedFlight’s award winning medical flight team is experienced in providing medical flights and care to all critical care patients, including senior patients.

At Angel MedFlight, we know we meet our patients and their family members on their most stressful days. We understand that every moment counts when it comes to reaching the care you need when you need it most. Our flight coordinators are here around the clock to ensure that your patient can reach the right treatment when they need it. Angel MedFlight partners with our preferred part 135 operator, to fly patients on medically configured Learjet that promote hygiene, comfort and most of importantly, safety. A flight captain and an assisting pilot safely transport patients on every healthcare mission, while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) provide complete care and support throughout the medical flight.
