Arizona’s natural wonders, growing economy and tourist attractions have made the state a popular travel destination. More than 43 million travelers visited the state in 2016. Unfortunately, tourists visiting Arizona from other states and countries sometimes need to return home via air ambulance (Jet ICU) for rehabilitation or treatment after a critical illness, injury, or accident.

Arizona is a popular retirement destination and its senior population is growing as the oldest Baby Boomers approach their seventies. It isn’t uncommon for senior patients to require an air ambulance or (Jet ICU) to reach the right level of care closer to their family support systems. Angel MedFlight’s award winning medical flight nurses and flight paramedics are experienced in providing medical transports to all critical care patients, including our senior patients.

At Angel MedFlight, we understand that every moment counts when it comes to getting your patient to the care they need. That’s why our flight coordination and dispatch teams are here 24/7 – so our patients can reach the care they need when they need it most. We fly medically configured Learjet that promote hygiene, comfort, and safety on every flight. A flight captain and assisting pilot join our team on every healthcare mission while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) focus on your patient.

Why is Angel MedFlight different from other air ambulance companies?

Angel MedFlight’s team members strive for the industry’s highest medical flight team certification and training standards. A certified nurse (RN) and paramedic (EMP-T) provide skilled care and emotional support on every medical flight.

Every member of our medical flight team receives routine comprehensive training and exams on important patient and air medical procedures. Most of our clinicians have over a decade of critical care experience and have achieved additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP. They also have a high-level awareness of the air medical industry and partnering with Angel Flight and other organizations to ensure every patient reaches the care they need.

Every one of Angel MedFlight’s medical flight team members is required to maintain board certification in the flight specialty (FP-C and CFRN) so they can provide care to our patients in a controlled environment.

Our air ambulance flight nurses and paramedics often transport critical patients to and from Arizona for specialty care, treatment, transplant, and rehabilitation. If you, a patient, or loved one is having a medical emergency in Arizona or needs a medical flight to reach a healthcare facility there, our air ambulance teams provide the best medical transport care.
