Louisiana Locations

Do you, a loved one, or patient in Louisiana require an air ambulance (or medical flight)? Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance Services and our award-winning clinicians are here to help no matter the distance – wherever you and your patient are. Our air ambulance team members along with our preferred part 135 operator, help patients anywhere in the world reach the life-changing care they need. Learn about our critical care services now. Our preferred part 135 operator owns and operates Learjet that are medically equipped and configured for patient hygiene, safety, and comfort on your patient’s healthcare journey.

Over 13.4 million travelers from the United States and other countries visit Louisiana every year. Travelers visiting Louisiana from other states or from overseas are sometimes unable to return home via commercial airline and require a medical flight on an air ambulance (Jet ICU) for rehabilitation, transplant, treatment or unfortunately sometimes hospice after a critical injury or illness.

Louisiana is home to about 4,684,333 senior citizens over the age of 65. The senior population is continually on the rise, as the oldest of the Baby Boomer generation are reaching their early seventies. Unfortunately, seniors often require an air ambulance (or Jet ICU) to reach the right level of care covered by their insurance nearby family members after an accident or injury. Angel MedFlight’s award winning medical flight team members are experienced in supporting medical transports and providing care to all critical care patients, including seniors.

At Angel MedFlight we understand that we are meeting our patients and their family members on the most stressful days of their lives. We know that every moment counts when it comes to reaching the level of care you need when you need it most. That’s why our flight coordinators are here for you 24/7 – so your patient can reach the right care when they need it.

Angel MedFlight partners with our preferred part 135 operator, to transport patients on medically configured Learjet that promote comfort, hygiene, and most of all, safety. A flight captain and a supporting pilot safely transport patients on every one of our healthcare missions, while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) provide complete care and support throughout the medical flight.

Why is Angel MedFlight so different?

Angel MedFlight knows that when it comes to getting your patient to the right level of care, you want them to have the best possible treatment and transport. That’s why our medical flight team aims for the industry’s highest training and certification standards. One of our certified nurses (RN) and one of our paramedics (EMP-T) are on board every medical flight to provide the best air medical care available.

Every clinician receives regular and thorough exams and trainings on air medical procedures and patient care. The majority of our medical flight team members have more than a decade of critical care experience and have earned additional specialty certifications, including CCRN, CEN, CCP-C, CCEMTP. These team members are also aware of the air medical industry overall and how to partner with Angel Flight and other healthcare and aviation organizations, so that every patient can reach the level of care they need.

Every Angel MedFlight flight paramedic and flight nurse maintains board certification in the flight specialty, (FP-C and CFRN) to provide the best quality of care to our patients in a controlled environment.

Our air ambulance medical flight team members frequently transport critical care patients to and from Louisiana for treatment, transplant, specialty care, rehabilitation, and home hospice when necessary. If you, a patient, or loved one is having a medical crisis in Louisiana and needs a medical transport (or Jet ICU) to reach a hospital there, our air ambulance team members are here to make the healthcare journey as smooth and safe as possible.

Patients trust the company with air medical’s highest satisfaction ratings.

Angel MedFlight’s certified flight paramedic and nurse, a flight captain and second pilot accompany patients and their loved ones on every healthcare mission.

From bedside-to-bedside, our medical flight team members provide comprehensive care (at the sending and receiving facilities) to relieve the stress on our patients and their family members and make the medical transport as smooth and comfortable as possible. On every medical flight, Angel MedFlight leaves ample space for up to two accompanying loved ones to ride along for emotional support, and a positive patient experience.

Your flight coordinator, air ambulance clinicians, and your sending and or receiving facility all connect ensuring your healthcare needs are addressed down to the details, including any nutrition, prescriptions, IV fluids, oxygen, and any other accommodations necessary.
