About 1.4 million visitors from the United States and other countries visit Idaho every year. Travelers visiting from other states and from overseas are sometimes unable to return home via a commercial airline and require a medical transport on an air ambulance (Jet ICU) for rehabilitation, transplant, treatment, specialty care, or hospice after a critical injury or illness.

According to a state census, 12.4% of Idaho citizens are senior citizens over the age of 65. The senior population is continually rising, as the oldest of the Baby Boomer generation are reaching their seventies. Seniors often require a medical transport (or Jet ICU) to reach the right care covered by their insurance nearby relatives following an accident or injury. Angel MedFlight’s award winning clinicians are experienced in medical transports and care to all critical care patients, including seniors.

At Angel MedFlight our team knows we meet our patients and their family members on the most stressful days of their lives and understands that every moment counts when it comes to reaching the care you need. That’s why our flight coordinators are here for you 24/7 – so your patient can reach the right level of care when they need it. Angel MedFlight works with our preferred part 135 operator, to fly patients on medically configured Learjet that support hygiene, comfort and of course, safety. A flight captain and a supporting pilot safely transport patients on every healthcare mission, while Angel MedFlight’s certified flight nurse (RN) and flight paramedic (EMP-T) provide care and support throughout the medical flight.
