I Asked Case Managers to Share and Something Amazing Happened

BY Angel MedFlight

Did you attend ACMA National? I did, and I loved speaking at the General Session and sharing my journey as a six-time Olympic gold medalist with case managers from around the National community. After my accident, my spinal cord injury rehabilitation was the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced. It’s helped me to recognize the value of patient champions and the important role these healthcare professionals play in every recovery.

I asked conference attendees to share their stories and how they act as patient champions for patients like me. Their responses still inspire me, here’s what they shared:

Since my accident, I have tried to be an example of never giving up and always moving ahead. That’s why I’m teaming up with Angel MedFlight and patient champions everywhere, to help this message inspire more patients and professionals in the healthcare community.

Angel MedFlight knows that patient advocacy never ends. Learn how they supported my healthcare journey.

Thank you to all of the Case Managers who shared why they’re patient champions

It was great seeing so many Case Managers from around the community going home with Patient Champion T-Shirts and my Autographed Posters

Thank you, ACMA and Angel MedFlight for the opportunity to meet these amazing patient champions.
