What is a Medical Flight?
Medical Flights are private jets that are specially equipped with medical equipment, and frequently are used to help people get from one medical facility to another when they’re unable to fly commercially and the distances are too far for ground ambulance transport.
Our air ambulance services can be used for a variety of reasons - someone could have a spinal cord injury, be stabilized at a trauma hospital, and then have a medical flight to go to a Center of Excellence for longer-term rehabilitation. Other times, people who have severe eating disorders are too fragile to fly commercially, and an air medical transport flight is used to get them to a treatment center.
