"I have incorporated both factory-approved training and aircraft experience to achieve the highest level of expertise and safety. It’s this experience that has forged my belief that quality training and quality experience improve aircraft safety."
Dwain A. Chase
Director of Maintenance/Aviation West Charters
As Director of Maintenance for the combined operations of Aviation West Charters and Angel MedFlight, I draw on more than 35 years of aviation maintenance experience to expertly oversee the maintenance program for an expanding fleet of international medical jets.
Prior to joining Aviation West, I was Quality Assurance Manager for a Citation Service Center and served as Chief Inspector and Director of Safety for a Scottsdale-based Part 135 charter, aircraft sales and management company.
As Director of Maintenance for Swift Aviation Group, I managed maintenance of a Part 135 international corporate jet fleet and a Part 145 repair station. While at Swift, I developed a computerized tracking program that alerts maintenance technicians when an item is approaching a required inspection or replacement interval, helping to ensure safety and compliance with FAA regulations.
I assisted Embraer Aircraft of Brazil in establishing the Legacy aircraft Maintenance Program. I also worked in conjunction with Cessna and the FAA to institute an MSG-3 analysis program that Cessna is currently using to help reduce operating costs for charter operators.
I have been named the Arizona FAA Maintenance Technician of the Year twice, and have received the FAA Regional, FAA National and PAMA Maintenance Technician of the Year awards.
I enjoy spending time with my daughter on her visits home from college. I volunteer backstage for local dance company performances and collect motorcycles to someday restore.
