Scholarship for Excellence in Aviation
Application Requirements
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- At the time of application,
candidates must establish enrollment at an Arizona college or university as a full-time aviation student in a two-year or four-year undergraduate program or a postgraduate degree program. - Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above based on a 4.0 scale.
- All video applications must be postmarked by June 30, 2011 to be considered
Angel MedFlight is a leader and an innovator in the air ambulance industry.Lead by founder Jeremy Freer, the entire Angel MedFlight staff is committed to providing exceptional care and service for its patients, continually raising the bar in medical aviation.
To encourage this spirit of dedication and resourcefulness in others,
Angel MedFlight has established the Scholarship for Excellence in Aviation in conjunction with and administered by the Arizona Business Aviation Association(AZBAA). The scholarship will be awarded for fall of 2011 and the recipient will receive $3,000 toward his or her tuition at an Arizona college or university. The recipient must be actively pursuing a degree in the aviation field.
Applicants must prepare a three-minute video biography. The video should address the following items:
- What does a career in aviation mean to you?
- Share something you have done to demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, initiative or tenacity to overcome a challenge.
- How would you like to improve the aviation industry in Arizona?
Please submit the video biography along with a completed and signed application, resume and two letters of recommendation: one personal reference(not a family member) and professional reference from a teacher, employer, or supervisor. Recommendations should highlight candidate’s integrity, determination and resourcefulness.
The scholarship will be awarded to a U.S. citizen without regard to sex, race, religion or national origin. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to recipient’s college or university.
